We Will Fight For What You Deserve

Were you in an accident while alongside the road? Maybe a distracted gawker lost control of their vehicle. Or an intoxicated driver swerved as you changed a tire. Whatever the reason for the incident, a negligent driver’s actions made a stressful situation much worse.

Suffering from an accident brought on by a negligent driver may entitle you or a loved one to compensation. At The Gori Law Firm, we have a track record of success in personal injury cases. Our experienced attorneys will fight relentlessly for your right to seek compensation.

Scott’s Law – Made For Your Safety

In December 2000, an intoxicated driver struck and killed Lieutenant Scott Gillen as the Chicago firefighter performed his emergency duties on the side of the road. The state of Illinois passed “Scott’s Law” or the Move Over Law. This law originally stated that drivers must reduce speed, change lanes if possible and proceed with caution when approaching an emergency vehicle such as an ambulance or police car.

In 2017, the law was adjusted to include any vehicle pulled over with emergency lights flashing. Drivers in Illinois hit 15 State Police troopers or other vehicles after the officers parked along the road. That happened in just the first three months of 2019, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

We will work for your best interests and help you attain adequate compensation for your accident. Our personal injury cases are on a contingency basis. We collect no lawyer fees until you receive damages, and we are not afraid to take your case to court if necessary.
